I'm not feeling my best today... but where do I even start?

Worries about the future, our identity, or all the different things going on in your life at the same time: this can be overwhelming.

While you may have a feeling that life isn't too great at the moment, you also wouldn't know how to check that - let alone what to do about it.

OptiMind assesses mental wellbeingoffers personalized reports to students, and lets you determine the best response to your personal needs based on data-driven action steps.

The Problem

Student wellbeing has plummeted during the pandemic with 66% of students feeling worse than usual ... and the sad reality is that this will not go away in the coming months or even years. The effects of COVID on mental wellbeing are expected to continue for at least the coming 3 years.

At present, 54% of students feel stressed out regularly, however, 60% never or barely talk about their mental wellbeing.  At the same time, 60% feel the need to do so and 50% of students aren't aware of the mental healthcare facilities offered by their university.

Low levels of wellbeing not only lead to declining productivity: 1 in 6 students are facing serious mental health problems.

Our Solution

Assess

A brief, scientifically validated wellbeing assessment is a first step in understanding an individual's wellbeing. Designed for efficiency, this reflects the crucial factors underlying wellbeing. Data will be kept anonymous and confidential.

Report

Through data from the assessments, we produce a personalized evaluation of your wellbeing, detailing strong areas and those in need of attention.

Act

We help you understand which actions help you to improve your wellbeing. Derived from data-driven insights, we help you develop healthy habits to optimize your wellbeing in your everyday life.

How are students doing right now?

Struggling with mental health

Low Productivity

60% of students

experience problems with their productivity, which in turn impacts their academic performance.

At the same time, mental wellbeing has been found to strongly correlate with productivity levels.

Feeling stressed out

54% of students

feel stressed out on a regular basis or all the time.

Chronic stress does not only exacerbate the risk of mental health problems like depression or anxiety, but also physical ones like heart disease or diabetes.

What our early adopters say

I really liked seeing my wellbeing as a score and to get a personalized report on different areas of my wellbeing.

The daily reminder really helped me and I liked the fact that OptiMind was holding me accountable to actually do them. The challenges made me feel better, so I'd really love to continue using OptiMind!

Student, 21

The 1st assessment provided me a visual cue of where I am right now (status quo), and the challenges gave me the inspiration to change it (where deemed necessary).

Student, 23

I liked how diverse the challenges were and it was great to see how my mood was better during the 2nd assessment!

It feels good to be doing things for myself and to see tangible results - thanks OptiMind!
